Our family was able to gain several more decades with our Uncle, Father Joesph Aveni, due to the care of Dr. Gordon. The Aveni Foundation is a beautiful and touching tribute to our Uncle’s life and cancer recovery. I recall when he was very ill and we thought it was his time. Having already lost my father to prostate cancer it was unfortunately a familiar course of events. We were all shocked and amazed at his not just improvement, but real recovery.
